The following section describes how to become a paid member. You don't have to do this. But if you still want to do so, there are four steps:

Register with PayPal. PayPal is the on-line payment service we use so you can pay instantly by credit or debit card. We found PayPal to be the most secure and professional payment service that was reasonably priced for small web sites such as this one. However, PayPal does require buyers to register with their service before using it.

Membership Form. Fill out the form below. Be sure to enter a valid email address, and choose a User ID that is easy for you to remember. Then click the "Join Now" button.

Payment. Currently, access to The Story of the 115th A.A.A. Gun Battalion costs $24.95 for one year. We use an on-line payment service called PayPal that allows you to pay instantly by credit or debit card. In Step 2, clicking the "PayPal" button will go to a page on the secure PayPal system for payment.

Get Your Password and Log in. When your payment is complete, we immediately email you a password. Use this temporary password to log in, then change it to something you will remember

Step 1: Register with PayPal

PayPal is the on-line payment service that we use. You pay them by credit or debit card, and they pay us. This benefits you in that they are always available to deal with any billing inquiries, and it benefits us in that we avoid the expense of establishing our own credit card processing system. PayPal has over 7 million users and does a great job.

To reduce fraud, PayPal requires buyers to register with their service (at no charge) before using it. It's important to understand that your PayPal registration is completely independent from our web site. None of the credit or personal information you give them is disclosed to us.

We respect your privacy: Your email address will be used only for occasional announcements of updates and new features here at The Story of the 115th A.A.A. Gun Battalion , probably no more frequently than once or twice a month. We will not release your email address to anybody else, nor will we conduct mailings on their behalf (though we may allow brief sponsored messages to appear in email announcements in the future).

Other terms, conditions and clarifications:
You become a member of this site when you purchase access to specific material for a specific period. For example, you might purchase access to the book "The Story of the 115th A.A.A. Gun Battalion" for a period of one year. You will then have full access to that material for the specified period. However, we want to be clear that we do intend to add additional material to this site, some of which may require an additional fee for access.

Your membership login is for your personal use only and is not to be shared with others except family members living with you. If you make your login available for use by anyone else, your membership may be revoked without notice or refund, and you may be liable for other damages. We wouldn't want that to happen, would we?
